geteilter Blick
2010
An arrangement of various objects and materials can be touched, moved and rearranged by visitors during the exhibition. The installation is not intended as a finished work, but as an open structure whose form is constantly changing through ongoing interventions.
The focus is on the question of how meaning arises through action. Seeing, touching and rearranging become equally valid forms of perception and understanding. Every shift creates new relationships between the materials. This dissolves existing structures and reveals alternative constellations. The work thus conceives of materiality not as a static state, but as a dynamic system of relationships that continually reorganises itself through use and change.
The artist’s selection and arrangement of the objects forms the starting point of a process that is expanded through visitor participation. In this context, authorship and reception do not appear as separate positions, but as intertwined fields of action. The installation creates a space in which individual decisions become visible and are inscribed into the material structure of the work.
The process of change, documented over the course of a month, is presented as a video alongside the installation. The recording brings the temporal dimension of the work to life and reveals its ongoing transformation.
